An Elegant Romantic CHIJMES Wedding

The wedding of Sherilyn & Dave was an elegant blend of tradition and modernity set against the stunning backdrop of CHIJMES. Bringing their dream wedding to life was a real treat for us at Create Your Story. With meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering dedication to excellence, we crafted a celebration together that will be cherished forever.

A graceful tea ceremony started off the festivities at CHIJMES, setting the tone for what was to come. The celebration continued with a time-honoured church wedding ceremony, beautifully contrasted by the grandeur and elegance of CHIJMES itself. It wasn’t long before the bride graced the scene, enhancing the venue’s regal ambiance, as if woven with threads of royalty. Up to 300 people can be accommodated.

The altar was transformed with ethereal flower arrangement on elegant gold pedestals with a flower selection of white, blush pink, and a little of blue and purple hues. An elegant romance encircled the space with these exquisite flower styling. Adorning gold pedestals of varying heights, carefully selected and arranged by our preferred flower vendor team adorned the scene, adding a touch of opulence and sophistication to the entire spectacle. The overall effect was breathtaking, creating a perfect backdrop for the special occasion.

A little tip from our side, if you can only use the side screens and go without the big screen in the middle, as it sets your center stage for the ceremony so much more beautiful and elegant.

One thing that grabbed our attention about this wedding was the gorgeous bespoke veil of our lovely bride and so perfectly captured here by Andri Tei. This elegantly flowing veil perfectly embodies a hint of a traditional royal wedding. And the best personal detail is, the veil includes Sherilyn and Dave’s names and wedding date, a poignant symbol of the beginning of a love story destined to last. Every wedding I create is infused with sincere and sentimental details, creating an extraordinary masterpiece filled with cherished memories!

They had a beautiful photoshoot after the ceremony. With CHIJMES’s historical architectural splendor as a backdrop, the location provided an exquisite canvas for their moments. Andri Tei’s masterful lens captured every moment of their special day and woven the grandeur of the historical edifices into a gorgeous tableau.

At Monti Singapore, we moved over the same floral decor that we used at CHIJMES in order to repurpose it for our couple’s reception dinner and have them enjoy the magnificent decor and flowers at Monti Singapore’s wedding reception dinner. The decor created a romantic atmosphere for the couple and their guests to enjoy the night. The evening was filled with laughter and joy as they celebrated their union with their family and friends.

Monti is a very particular shaped venue with its round floor plan and combined with several long tables we were able to comfortably accommodate their 120 guests at the wedding reception. While the couple was seated with the lovely backdrop of the Marina Bay scenery at the head of their entourage table overlooking all their guests perfectly. The location settled in one of the most iconic places of Singapore was important as the couple was hosting guests from different parts of the world and different cultures coming together. We love this international and multicultural wedding happenings in Singapore!

Naturally, a remarkable wedding deserves a memorable finale. We orchestrated a grand exit by providing sparklers for the guests to light up, allowing Sherilyn and Dave to depart the celebration in a truly extravagant manner. This wedding served as a poignant testament to the enduring strength of love and the timeless beauty of traditional ceremonies. As wedding planners, we were deeply honoured to contribute to this extraordinary journey, meticulously crafting an event that will eternally reside as a cherished memory in the hearts of all who shared in the joyous occasion.

Weddings at CHIJMES

CHIJMES Hall is a 1901 neo-gothic chapel turned National Monument. There are crystal chandeliers adorning its pristine interior under lofty ceilings, and sunlight filters through stained glass, creating an ethereal aisle.
